Pushing Through the Pain

To be clear, I push through when I have no other choice and I’ve made giving up on my dreams no longer a choice.

I’ve wasted a lot of my energy pushing through to please others. I’ve shown up because of guilt or simply not wanting to admit to myself how sick I really was.

I’ve learned to choose my push throughs wisely. I will pay for pushing through, I always do – so it has to be worth it.

And every other time I’ve been sick in my life, my dreams have been the first to go. This is the difference with Lyme Disease and Epstein-Barr. I won’t allow them to stand in my way of my dream of being an inspirational speaker.

I used to call this picking my battles, but now I call it choosing my joy.

Rock on, badass warriors. Rock on!
